Litlefjellet

The trip up to Litlefjellet is a short trip of 15-30 minutes. At the top you can enjoy the fantastic view over Trollveggen, Vengetindene and Romsdalshorn. The trip is often called Romsdalseggen's light version.

Litlefjellet is a trip that most people manage to complete. The tour is family-friendly, and at the top you get one of Norway's most talked-about views - a fantastic view across to Trollveggen and Trolltindene, Åndalsnes and Romsdalsfjorden. Down in the valley, the Rauma Railway winds along the beautiful Rauma river. On the other side of the Vengedalen tower the mighty Vengetind. Litlefjellet is the start of the one route up to the mighty Romsdalshornet.

There are several nice ponds at the top

On clear days you can see the mountains reflected in the mountain water. Several of the ponds at the top also invite you to play and have fun. In addition to several smaller mountain lakes, the plateau at the top of Litlefjellet is also very popular when it comes to camping.

Directions to Litlefjellet

From Åndalsnes or Isfjorden, follow the sign towards Liabygda and on to Vengedalen. At the bottom of Vengedalen there is a toll road with card payment. Drive past Vengedalssetra and continue on the gravel road that winds its way up the terrain, and further inwards towards Romsdalshornet. The start of the trip up to Litlefjellet goes from the heart of Vengedalen, approx. 1 kilometer after you have passed Vengedalsvatnet. From the car park there is a well-marked path up to the top. There are some steep sections, and one place is secured with a chain. After an ascent of approx. At an altitude of 140 metres, you have reached the top of Litlefjellet. The highest point on the summit is 780 m.
